Interim Prayer

Lord, 

Please guide everyone as they go through the day. Keep us safe from things that we cannot control. Keep us alert for things that we can.

For the people who have been put in risky and even dangerous situations, please gather them strength to overcome--whether it's inner strength or strength to depend on others.

For the people who must make decisions that affect the safety of others, please grant them discernment, direction and insight. I pray for parents who are worried for their sons and daughters. I pray for daughters and sons who are taking care of their parents now that they are older. I pray for people who drink. I pray for people who drive. I pray for doctors, lawyers, businessmen, governement workers, politicians. 

I pray for everyone. I pray for myself.  

Bring strength when we're tired. Resolve and peace of mind when we've done the best we can. Conscience when we need to take responsibility. And the holy spirit when we waver.
